CARA of the NAC applied seizures on assets worth 3 million lei
26.12.2022 633 ViewsThe Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC applied seizures, worth more than 3 million lei, this week. Among the assets seized, based on three delegations of prosecutors and criminal investigation officers, are one residential and two non-residential rooms. Currently, the Agency has in the procedure 170 delegations on 121 criminal cases regarding 274 subjects. Last week, 14 thousand lei were deposited on CARA’s treasury accounts.
Also, the General Directorate on Operative Support carried out 6 judicial expertises – 5 IT and one forensic, with another 64 expertises in the process. The NAC prosecution officers have in procedure 337 criminal cases. The previous week, 11 criminal cases were proposed to be brought to the court and two delegations were sent to the CARA to carry out parallel financial investigations.
The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate drew up 36 expert reports and 13 opinions. At the moment, we are working on 19 materials, received from the authorities.
The Analytical Directorate has carried out 9 operational analyses, another 75 studies are in the process. The representative of the Legal Service of the NAC participated in 4 court hearings, and the Professional Integrity Testing Directorate issued 85 integrity records.
The National Anti-Corruption Line received 51 calls. 2 people are placed in the NAC Detention Center.
Currently, the NAC has 58 vacant positions. To fill them, the Human Resources Unit puts the available positions out to competition, the information is published both on the Center's web page and on careere.gov.md.
