A founder of a major construction company, criminally investigated by the NAC for traffic of influence
10.02.2020 2378 ViewsA founder of a construction company from the capital was detained by the NAC officers and anticorruption prosecutors in a case of traffic of influence. He is suspected of claiming 1500 euros from a man to solve the problem of commissioning of the residential block.
In fact, the businessman would have alleged that he has influence on the officials of the Agency for Technical Supervision and that he could determine them to expedite the reception of the works, carried out in the building at Mihail Sadoveanu 15/1, even if they were not yet completed, numerous infringements were found. For his services, he would have claimed from the whistleblower 1500 euros.
Being heard by the prosecutors, the suspect fully acknowledged his guilt, while the prosecutors indicted him, obliging not to leave the country and to come to the criminal prosecution body if needed. A criminal prosecution was initiated in this case for the traffic of influence, and if he is found guilty, the businessman risks up to 6 years of imprisonment or a criminal fine.
