15.04.2019 29 Views16 young people from different localities of Moldova, volunteers of the National Anticorruption Center, have proposed to contribute to the prevention of corruption and the promotion of integrity through innovative methods. Supported by the NAC and UNDP, they will develop their own platforms and communication ideas to combat informal taxes, favoritism, copying - practices that generate corruption in education.
They have participated in a training program at the NAC, opened by the director of the National Anticorruption Center, Mr. Bogdan Zumbreanu. The NAC leader told anticorruption volunteers that the way they chose it is a tedious one, and sometimes they might be tempted to give up. "You take a heavy fight that can bring you many disappointments. Personally, in my career, I had some deceptions, but I always believed in what I am doing! I want you to unite around an idea that we can promote together - to grow a free generation of corruption. You are still clean, you are not yet contaminated by this scourge, that's why you have the chance to build an oasis of integrity around you," Zumbreanu mentioned.
The NAC Director thanked the volunteers for choosing to associate with the NAC in the anticorruption fight. He has appreciated the involvement of the young man, Eduard Groza who, after a visit to the NAC, decided to bring the management of the Center to Orhei city, to the pedagogical college Vasile Lupu. "It is not easy, but it is very necessary to point out some negative practices that have existed for years in education," Eduard mentioned in the training.
We would like to remind that during this year, with the support of the UNDP project " Curbing corruption by sustainable integrity in the Republic of Moldova", funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, anticorruption volunteers will be involved in several activities of promoting academic integrity. information sessions, thematic games, flash mobs, social theater and other innovative actions to help eradicate the practices that generate corruption. At the same time, the volunteers will participate alongside the National Anticorruption Center employees in conducting corruption prevention activities for the large public.
"Young people have an enormous potential. They can build bridges of trust and can convey messages that will generate favorable changes and strengthen the culture of integrity in society. We support their approaches and encourage them to get involved”, said Ms. Olga Crivoliubic, the project manager at UNDP Moldova.
