The director of the National Anticorruption Center, Ruslan Flocea, made two visits to the General Territorial Directorates of the NAC, North and South, to evaluate the situation in the territory. The head of the NAC met with the staff, from in Cahul and Balti, and took note of the balance of activities, carried out by the officers of the Center in the two subdivisions.
Ruslan Flocea urged the staff to intensify their activity in the fields of competence and to carry out the full spectrum of actions in accordance with the legislation in force. He also advised them to communicate as often as possible with the citizens in order to identify the problems that require the involvement and intervention of the Center. The director also asked the leaders of the territorial subdivisions to present operative information about the potential involvement of some officials in the corruption schemes that were talked about in the public space and an action plan to hold those involved accountable.
Similar assessments were made last week, during which time the head of the NAC became aware of the activities of each NAC officer, identified the problems and solutions to correct some deficiencies and set future priorities.
Also, the director of the Center heard a detailed report of the Agency for the recovery of criminal assets, which presented an exhaustive information on the volume of delegations in the process of being resolved, the amounts identified and unavailable by CARA officers, as well as on the developments in the cause of bank fraud.
We recall that Ruslan Flocea was appointed as director of the NAC on July 31, after being voted by 72 deputies.
