He would have presented himself as a judge of the Anenii Noi Court and would have demanded from a man 30,000 euros to settle a rape case. In fact, it is about a graduate of the National Institute of Justice (the year 2018) who, in the spring of 2019, would have convinced an accused in a criminal case, started for committing a rape, that he can obtain his acquittal in Court of Appeal. For his services, he initially requested 20,000 euros to influence the magistrates of Appel to give a favorable solution on the case.
At the end of May, the Court of Appeal sentenced the defendant, and the intermediary would have demanded from him 10,000 euros to settle his case already at the Supreme Court of Justice. A short time ago, the man addressed a complaint to the NAC on which a criminal prosecution for influence peddling was initiated.
On the evening of August 13, the intermediary was detained and placed in the isolator for 72 hours. If found guilty, he risks a fine in the amount of 4,000 to 6,000 conventional units or prison from 3 to 7 years.
Anticorruption Prosecutor`s Office is leading the criminal prosecution.
