US experts, interested in functioning of the mechanism for testing professional integrity among MIA employees
22.11.2019 757 ViewsThe role of the NAC in anticorruption mechanisms functioning in Police was discussed today with a team of experts from the United States of America. During the meeting the director of the National Anticorruption Center, Ruslan Flocea, has informed the visitors about the actions the institution undertakes to promote integrity among the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as about the activities of combating this phenomenon.
In this regard, Ruslan Flocea has brought to the attention of the experts that the eradication of corruption in law institutions is one of the priorities of the NAC, to achieve the progresses in this segment, the NAC applies a number of instruments such as the professional integrity testing, corruption risks assessment, organization of the information sessions on ensuring integrity and transparency in the police system.
The NAC director has also mentioned that several anticorruption campaigns have been organized together with the MIA anticorruption and internal protection subdivision, which role is to identify the conscious and determined factors of the internal corruption.
The experts expressed their interest in the testing mechanism of the professional integrity, the instrument applied by the NAC for the public agents aiming at ensuring professional integrity, preventing and combating corruption in the framework of public entities, as well as identification, assessment and removing vulnerabilities and risks that would determine or encourage committing acts of corruption, acts related to corruption or facts of corrupt behavior.
