A university lecturer came to the spotlight of the NAC and anticorruption prosecutors, after being denounced by a student who complained that the professor would have demanded a bribe. According to the whistleblower, the lecturer of the Military Department of a university from the capital allegedly claimed 1500 leis for the military identity card, without attending lessons and 600 leis to influence doctors issue necessary certificates so that the whistleblower can be enrolled at the Military Department.
Both sums of money were transferred under the control of the officers of the General Territorial Directorate North of the NAC, in this case a criminal investigation was initiated for influence peddling and passive corruption. The lecturer was caught red- handed, and now he is being investigated at large.
The NAC officers are carrying out the prosecution and investigation activities to find out the entire circle of the suspects and potential involvement of other civil persons in the present case.
