Anticorruption Education Directorate (DEA) continues the training aimed for public agents
02.04.2021 2051 ViewsThe Anticorruption Education Directorate has continued the training aimed for public agents from local and central public authorities this week.
Thus, jointly with the Academy of Public Administration, two training courses have been held:
- “Cultivating institutional integrity in the public service”, (8 hours) aimed for senior and executive public servants from central public authorities.
- “Professional integrity in civil service”, Module “Institutional and professional integrity. Integrity control.“ (4 hours), aimed for junior public servants from central public authorities.
There have been addressed the following subjects under the normative and practical aspects: premises and forms of corruption; competences in preventing and combatting corruption; the concept and integrity categories; the measures of ensuring institutional integrity: ways of denouncing corruption acts and undue influence, declaring conflicts of interest and gifts, whistleblowing; legal liability for lack of integrity; competences in exercising control of professional and institutional integrity; forms of controlling institutional and professional integrity; institutional integrity assessment; instruments for identifying corruption risks, etc.
The above-mentioned subjects included in the curricula of professional training, will contribute to enhance the degree of responsibility to perform the service and implement the mentioned mechanism, as well as to improve theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the application, compliance and promotion of the anticorruption and integrity standards.
The courses under consideration shall be provided in accordance with the State Order on the professional development of the public officials in 2021, proved by the Government Decision of the Republic of Moldova no 17/2021.
On April 1, the head of the DEA held a training session aimed for prosecutors, heads of the directorates of the General Prosecutor’s Office and heads of the Territorial and Specialized Prosecutors’ Offices. There have been addressed the topics about compliance with the gift declaration order, preventing, whistleblowing and combatting undue influence, institutional integrity assessment, aimed at respecting measures of ensuring professional and institutional integrity, as well as gaps in practical application of the mentioned mechanisms.
The training aims at strengthening institutional and professional capacities, to implement the mechanisms of ensuring integrity efficiently.
