A driving license seller placed the NAC detention center, after allegedly claiming a bribe of 500 euros from a young man08.04.2021 53 Views
The employee of a driving school in the capital has drawn the attention of the NAC officers and prosecutors, after being denounced by a young man. He complained that he gave 500 euros to an intermediary who promised to help him obtain his driving license without difficulty.
According to the investigation, the driving school employee told the whistleblower that he would influence the members of the commission within the Driver Qualification Directorate of the Public Service Agency and that he could convince them to positively assess the practical exam for obtaining a driving license of category "B". Although the money was sent at the end of 2020, the suspect did not keep his word, for which he was reported to the NAC.
The NAC initiated a criminal case, conducting investigations into the case. This morning, the suspect was detained while returning the amount received to the whistleblower. He is placed for 72 hours and faces prison or a criminal fine if found guilty.
We remind you that any person is presumed to be innocent until a final and irrevocable court decision is pronounced.
The Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office is conducting the criminal investigation.
