The National Anticorruption Center has held an anticorruption course in front of the representatives of different authorities from our country with the topic “Managing the Risks of Fraud and Corruption”. The seminar took place for three days, being organized by the Academy of Public Administration and the NAC.
Different subjects were addressed within the module that refers to the responsibilities of the head of the public entity in ensuring the implementation of anticorruption mechanisms; the phases of the process of “Managing the Risks of Fraud and Corruption” and tools to identify them; the analysis and the assessment of resistance of public entities to corruption, through the prism of the mechanisms of ensuring institutional integrity, as well as other anticorruption measures, implemented by the public entities.
The training session was aimed at developing practical skills of the heads within central public authorities in managing the risks of fraud and corruption and preventing crisis situations, that could be generated by the materialization of corruption risks.
It should be mentioned, that managing the risks of fraud and corruption is an instrument of preventing frauds and corruption manifestation and ensuring good governance within public entities, based on the transparent principles, accountability, efficiency, effectiveness, legality, fairness, ethics and integrity. Ensuring the implementation of this instrument is a responsibility of the heads of public entities, based on the provisions of the Integrity Law no. 82/2017 and the Law on public internal financial control no. 229/2010.
Note: the course was heard by the senior public officials: state secretaries, directors, deputy-directors of the central public administration authorities (National Integrity Authority, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection, State Fiscal Service, National Social Insurance House, National Agency for Research and Development, Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster, National Agency for Food Safety, State Agency for Intellectual Property, Civil Aviation Authority, Environment Agency, Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, National Bureau of Statistics and the Superior Council of Prosecutors).
