According to the materials of the case, the policemen allegedly claimed to have influence on some employees from the Office of Registration of Transport Means and Drivers’ Qualification in Comrat. A criminal investigation for influence peddling was initiated in this case. A policeman was detained for 72 hours and taken to the headquarters of the GTD South of the NAC for questioning. If found guilty, they risk from 2 to 7 years of detention, criminal fine or deprivation of the right to carry out certain activity for a period of time.
We remind, every person is presumed to be innocent until the final and irrevocable decision of the court is pronounced.
