NAC's synthesis: CARA issued seizure orders for assets of over 5,4 million lei last week

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC issued seizure orders, based on the delegation of the General Police Inspectorate, for 28 assets, worth over 5,4 million lei, last week. These include a dwelling, 5 agricultural lands and 4 construction lands, 3 means of transport, 3 residential constructions and 8 non-residential, and 4 social capitals. Currently, the CARA has 124 delegations under examination in 91 criminal cases on 195 subjects.

Also, the General Directorate on Operative Support carried out 10 judicial expertises, 72 expertises are in the process. Criminal investigation officers started 3 criminal cases. Currently, the criminal investigation body of the NAC is managing 363 files.

The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate received 19 draft normative acts for expertise, sent to the authors 13 expert reports and 7 opinions. Currently, we are working on 52 materials, received from the authorities.

The Analytical Directorate has carried out 5 operational analyses and initiated 9 new ones, other 69 studies are in the process. The representative of the Legal Service of the NAC participated in 12 court hearings, while the Professional Integrity Testing Directorate issued 62 criminal records.

The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 4 activities of information and raising awareness.

The National Anti-Corruption Line received 36 calls.
