Five people were detained as a result of searches carried out within the framework of files on the illegal financing of political parties, money laundering and falsification of financial reports

The NAC officers and prosecutors carried out criminal prosecution actions today, in Comrat, in cases involving money laundering, falsification of financial reports and illegal financing of a political party. Five people were detained following the searches, being placed in the Detention Centre for 72 hours.

Thus, in the process of documentation, several episodes of mobilization of citizens to protests against monetary remuneration, illegal payment of passenger carriers at organized protests, were fixed, as well as the payment of salaries for the activists of the party. Also, the payment of pensions and salary supplements was documented for some budget workers through the "PSB" application of the Bank of the Russian Federation "Промсвязьбанк".

In total, 51 searches were carried out on 20 extras, including in their offices in the Comrat territorial organization of the formation. At the same time, searches took place at the homes and cars of the suspects.

The actions are taking place under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the municipality of Cahul.
