70 anti-corruption volunteers of the NAC will strengthen knowledge within the "Anti-corruption Cafe" project in the period 2024-2025
26.10.2024 70 ViewsThe National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) has launched the "Anti-corruption Cafe" project, which aims to increase anti-corruption education and offer the institution's anti-corruption volunteers a space for dialogue and development. During 2024-2025, the Anti-corruption Cafe will host a series of meetings and events to provide the NAC volunteers with the support they need to deepen their knowledge and develop the skills needed to become integrity promoters.
The first session of the Anti-corruption Cafe was opened by the head of the General Directorate on Preventing Corruption, Lidia Chireoglo, who sent messages of support and encouragement to young people involved in promoting integrity, emphasizing the importance of this initiative: "Volunteers are a vital resource in the development of the culture of integrity in society , and the Anti-corruption Cafe offers them a unique platform to learn and actively contribute to a corruption-free future." The representative of the General Prosecutor's Office, Nicolae Zanevici, highlighted that this initiative "represents an important step in the formation of a responsible generation aware of the importance of respecting the rules of integrity."
Thus, the 70 anti-corruption volunteers of the NAC will have the opportunity to learn from experts and develop their knowledge through discussions and interactive activities on topics related to ethics, transparency, the fight against corruption and the promotion of integrity. This platform is designed to encourage critical thinking and the active participation of young integrity promoters in carrying out anti-corruption projects and strengthening the climate of integrity.
It should be noted that the "Anti-corruption Cafe" platform is made within the framework of the Justice Reform and Combating Corruption (JARA) project, implemented by USAID. The JARA project aims to strengthen justice institutions and support anti-corruption activities, thus promoting transparency and accountability in the public sector.
