National Anti-Corruption Centre organizes a round table on "Finality on cases of corruption. Analysis of sentences", on December 2nd 2013, at 1:00 PM, in the conference room of the Jolly Alon Hotel.
The event aims to debate publicly the study on files of corruption and discuss the recommendations presented to improve practice and relevant legal framework.
The meeting will be opened by the director of the National Anticorruption Centre Viorel Chetraru.
The study will be presented by Cristina Tarna, deputy director of the National Center Anticorruption and Raisa Botezatu, independent expert.
However, interventions in the report will have representatives of Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Superior Council of Magistracy.
The meeting will be attended by His Excellency, Matthias Meyer, Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Moldova and Nicola Harrington - Buhay, Permanent Representative of UNDP in Moldova, Mihai Poalelungi, President of the Supreme Court, experts, representatives central public authorities, international organizations, civil society and mass media.
Study on corruption cases has been developed by the NAC together jointly with experts of MIAPACProject and EUHLPAMMission, with the support of the Supreme Court, based on extensive research of corruption cases sent to court. The Study is a measure of the Action Plan 2012-2013 for the implementation of the National Anticorruption Strategy for years 2011-2015.
