Two more police officers are investigated for passive corruption by NAC
21.05.2014 2745 ViewsA prosecution officer of the Police Inspectorate from Briceni was detained by General Territorial Department "North" of NAC. He is suspected of passive corruption.
The man of law would have asked Euro 500, in order not to start prosecution against two brothers on causing injures. The officer agreed on amount of Euro 400 during the discussions.
Arrest in the act occurred after receiving the money. The suspect is in custody for 72 hours.
Another officer of the Police Inspectorate of Botanica was detained for passive corruption. He would have asked money in order not to denounce a boy for a psychiatrist check.Two criminal cases under art. 324 were initiated in both cases.
If convicted, both policemen face up to 10 years in prison with a fine of up to 8000 conventional units with the deprivation of the right to hold certain public posts or practice certain activities for a term from 7 to 10 years.
Note that 26 police officers have been investigated for corruption by the CNA from the beginning of the year 2014.
