A tax inspector of the Fiscal Control General Department of the State Tax Inspectorate of Chisinau was detained by NAC officers and anticorruption prosecutors in a case of corruption and influence peddling. Investigations were initiated at the request of the Internal Security Service of the State Tax Inspectorate (STI).
According to the STI information, the inspector would have claimed MDL 3,000 (a part of the money was to reach the inspector’s superior) from an economic agent for not being carried out a fiscal check.
