Corruption risks assessment for Consumer Protection Agency started by NAC
13.11.2014 3511 ViewsThe National Anticorruption Center starts assessing corruption risks in the Consumer Protection Agency of the Ministry of Economy. The corruption risks assessment group is to be established by order of Deputy Director of the Agency and shall be composed of managers of the institution and an expert of NAC who will coordinate group’s activity.
Specialists and expert of NAC will analyze legal acts and internal regulations of the institution, practices related to human resources management and public relations. They will also discuss and examine with employees the potential cases of corruption committed within the Agency. The working group will develop an integrity plan - policy document will include recommendations to prevent corruption within the Agency.
The Consumer Protection Agency is responsible for implementing consumer policy and running the state control over the compliance with the legislation in this area and the state control on the compliance of products and / or services placed on the market.
Note: The methodology for assessing the risks of corruption in public institutions has been approved by Government Decision no. 906 of 28.07.2008, and the National Anticorruption Center has the mission to ensure the conduct of corruption risks assessment within public authorities through trainings and consultations, monitoring and analysis of data, as well as coordinating the development of integrity plans
