Anticorruption volunteer, Vlada Simon, has participated today in the online dialogue “Young and uncorrupted”, organized by the UNDP Ukraine.

Along with the civic activists from Ukraine, Armenia and Montenegro, Vlada spoke about the importance of youth participation in preventing corruption and about her work as the anticorruption volunteer.

I am glad to be part of volunteers established by the National Anticorruption Center, in partnership with UNDP Moldova. Together with other colleagues we take part in different activities of promoting integrity among youth. At the beginning, everything seemed difficult but you take courage as soon as you understand how much you can do to promote the integrity and motivate other young people to comply with this principle. We, the youth, say that we want changes at home, in the society, in the country. Corruption reduces our chances to make these changes. My colleagues and I, anticorruption volunteers, respond to illegalities and we speak openly about the importance of being honest”, said Vlada Simon.

The anticorruption volunteering group was set up by the National Anticorruption Center with the support of UNDP, within the project “Curbing corruption by building sustainable integrity”, implemented with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
