The CARA under the NAC and the Court Administration Agency open their databases for more efficient mutual collaboration

A collaboration agreement, that will facilitate the exchange of information was concluded today between the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) and the Court Administration Agency (CAA). The document implies a set of commitments, agreed by the institutions, that will strengthen the mutual cooperation in Judicial Information System.

According to the agreement, the basic objective is the joint activity of the signatory parties is to achieve the possibility of the consumption of certain data categories from the Integrated Case Management System (ICMS) by the CARA, within the limits of functional competences, providing each other with statistical data, exchange of information and experience in the field of common interest, within the legal framework, and organizing meetings focused on common interests.

Thus, the parties shall open access to some databases, provide information support in the fields of common interest, receive different activity reports, etc. The contracting parties shall give written responses within 15 days to every notification received from the other part. At the same time, verbal notifications shall not be considered, unless confirmed in writing. In the process of carrying out the present agreement, the partied shall rely on the principles of diligence, partnership and equality.

The agreement is valid for 5 years with the possibility of extension.

The document was signed today by the directors of the two entities and enters into force on the day of signing.
