Children have learned what anti-corruption means through games, after that they competed in the Relay Race of Integrity. The young people, who are the part of groups of the Integrity Messengers of the GPI and Anticorruption Volunteers of the NAC have joined their efforts to promote the integrity standards and correctness among the youth.

For two hours, the youngest Integrity Messengers and Anticorruption Volunteers sang, played games, and explained what it means for them to be honest.

According to the Anticorruption Volunteer, Valensia Racoviță, the integrity covers a series of values that we are not born with, but we acquire during the life-time. “Through the diversity and multitude of activities carried out today, we have tried to explain the term “integrity”. The education of the younger generation is to promote honest choices in everyday life, has been one of the main goals of our meeting today”, added Valensia Racoviță.

For the Integrity Messenger, Leya Roșcovan, to be an honest person with a high moral standing means to always want to tell the truth, not to try to deceive people or to break the law, to respect colleagues, to work honestly and correctly.

Ion Pruteanu, the head of the Anticorruption Education Directorate of the NAC, mentioned that Relay Race of Integrity is dedicated to the indeterminate number of children and young people who are in these groups and who prove to be pro-active in harnessing ethical behavior and it is an address to all those people who want to unite against corruption.

At the end of the Relay Race of Integrity, the participants received diplomas, sweetened themselves with “integrity biscuits” and danced to the rhythm of the song which became a real anti-bribe anthem “If you gave, if you took” written by the special guest, rapper Kapushon.

It should be mentioned that the National Anticorruption Center and the General Police Inspectorate have effectively collaborated in several educational projects, aimed at preventing corruption, as well as cultivating, strengthening and promoting integrity.
