The NAC and the MTU will train each other. The MTU – with the regard to the implementation of information technologies in the NAC activity, while the Center – in anticorruption segment

The National Anticorruption Center and the Moldova Technical University have launched, today, a partnership that provides exchange of experience and knowledge in the fields of activity of both institutions. The principles of collaboration, objectives, obligations of the parties were included in an Agreement, signed by the NAC director, Ruslan Flocea and the rector of the MTU, Viorel Bostan.

According to the agreement, the institutions have agreed to make information materials available to its employees, through a mutual exchange, to organize joined events and to implement staff development programs. Also, the NAC is to provide internship opportunities for the students of the University, who have good results and flawless behavior, while the MTU, in its turn, will meet the needs of training the staff and continuing education of the NAC employees, including development programs, specialization, requalification of the staff.

Present at the event of signing the Agreement, the NAC director, Ruslan Flocea underlined that this partnership is valuable for the National Anticorruption Center, as the Technical University can offer important support to the officers who perform their duties and use more often information technologies. “The phenomenon of corruption evolves, transforming with new technologies. Some economic agents work with cryptocurrency, and the illicit transactions are no longer done through the physical transmission of money. We need qualified trainings for our officers, especially for those from the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency, whose activity depends on everything that means information technologies. We are, as well, ready to train the didactic staff of the MTU on anticorruption segment and to receive the best students in internships,” mentioned the head of the NAC.

The rector of the MTU, Viorel Bostan, expressed his confidence that this collaboration will benefit both institutions. “ I am sure that, through the joint synergy we will achieve concrete results. We have zero tolerance for corruption and our goal is to promote the culture of integrity among our teachers and students. We rely on the support of the Center in this sense. The MTU will provide materials and necessary experience to enhance the knowledge of the NAC officers in the field of information technologies, because our university is an important milestone in the IT domain in the Republic of Moldova, said the rector. We intend to diversify the mater’s programs as well as life-long learning programs on different topics needed for the final beneficiary.”

The initiative of signing the agreement with the Technical University belongs to the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency, the specialized autonomous subdivision within the NAC. Serghei Carapunarlî, the head of the CARA mentioned that the support of the University is necessary for the officers of the Agency and expressed his hope that the beneficial exchange of expertise will improve the professionalism of the NAC officers and will generate good results for the whole society.

The Agreement was concluded on December 3, this year, and enters into force on the date of its signing.
