A former employee of the Public Service Agency (PSA) in Glodeni, was detained by the officers and anticorruption prosecutors, this morning, being suspected of the influence peddling.
The case has drawn the attention of the GTD Nord of the NAC, after the man was denounced for allegedly claiming and receiving a 4000-lei bribe to issue a cadastral plan that would allow to legalize two constructions, built without the authorization during 2017-2020, as a warehouse for agricultural products. The man allegedly claimed that he could influence the officials from the Glodeni Cadastral Office of the PSA.
A criminal investigation was initiated in this case for influence peddling. The man became a suspect and was detained for 72 hours, and placed in the Detention Center of the Balti Police Inspectorate.
Currently, the actions to identify the public officials, as well as other persons involved in the process of issuing cadastral acts are undertaken.
The legislation of the Republic of Moldova provides for punishment with a criminal fine for up to 150 000 lei or imprisonment for up to 6 years.
We remind, that every person is presumed to be innocent until the final and irrevocable decision of the court is pronounced.
The criminal investigation is conducted by the North Office of the Anticorruption Prosecution.
