The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC seized assets estimated at over 12 million lei, based on the delegations of the prosecutors, last week. These include a residential premise, a means of transport, a social capital and cash. 4 million lei have already entered the treasury accounts of the Agency.

In addition to the component of recovering assets, the NAC has carried out its program of activities on other dimensions such as corruption prevention, analytics, expertise and anti-corruption education. Thus:

·       The Analytical Directorate has completed 11 operational analyzes, initiated 12 new operational analyzes, and another 87 operational and strategic analyzes are in progress;

·       The Legislation Directorate has received 32 draft laws for expertise, 12 expert reports and 9 opinions have been submitted to the authors, and 32 projects are under examination;

·       1503 materials were registered in the Chancellery of the Center;

·       48 calls were registered with the National Anticorruption Hotline;

·       The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 13 information and awareness-raising activities regarding the risks and consequences of involvement in acts of corruption in different public entities;

·       192 integrity records were issued;

·       Currently, 6 persons are in the NAC Detention Center.
