Three dwellings, with the estimated value of about 2 million lei, seized by the CARA of the NAC last week

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA), under the NAC, seized assets estimated at about 2 million lei, based on the prosecutors’ delegations, last week. These include three dwellings.

In addition to the criminal assets recovery component, the NAC has carried out activities in other dimensions, such as corruption prevention, analytics, expertise and anti-corruption education. Thus:

·        The Analytical Directorate completed 6 operational analyses regarding 24 subjects, initiated 5 new operational analyses, other 102 operational and strategic analyses are in progress;

·        The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate received 21 draft normative acts for expertise, 16 expert reports and 3 opinions were submitted to the authors, 38 projects are in the procedure;

·        986 materials were registered in the Chancellery of the Center;

·        26 calls were received at the National Anticorruption Hotline;

·       The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 7 information and awareness-raising activities regarding the risks and consequences of involvement in acts of corruption in different public entities, other 5 are scheduled for this week. Three public entities have also been trained though E-Learning distance platform, elaborated by the NAC with the support of the UNDP Moldova;

·       57 integrity records were issued;

·       Currently, 3 persons are in the NAC Detention Center.
