Three officials the North Technical Supervision Directorate of the Technical Supervision Agency and an economic agent are criminally investigated by the officers of the General Territorial Directorate North of the NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors in several cases launched for influence peddling and passive corruption. They are suspected that, acting in complicity, they would have organized an illegal scheme of the necessary documents to commissioning of constructions in the north of the country.

According to the investigation evidence, they allegedly claimed and received cash from natural and legal persons to sign the minutes of the final reception of constructions, without detailed analysis of construction works and installations connected to them.

As part of the special investigative measures, several episodes were documented in which decision-makers and employees of the North Technical Supervision Department of the Technical Supervision Agency would have signed minutes of final reception, violating the legislation, in exchange for some amounts of money that varied between 5,000 – 15,000 lei.

This morning, the anti-corruption officers and prosecutors carried out 13 searches that targeted the work offices, homes and cars of several figures on the case, including officials from the North Technical Supervision Department, the Municipal Enterprise "Architecture and Systematization Office" in the municipality of Balti and to an economic agent. Evidence relevant to the case, such as 300,000 lei and 3,200 euros, the provenance of which is to be idendified, as well as documents issued on real estate, mobile phones, computers, notebooks, electronic media, were taken from the scene. (hard disk, stick, CDs, flash card). 

Four people were detained for 72 hours and are being investigated for influence peddling and passive corruption. They are a head of the North Technical Supervision Directorate, a main inspector from the Directorate, an engineer of the Municipal Enterprise "Architecture and Systematization Office" from Balti municipality, based in Balti Municipality City Hall and an economic agent. 

We remind, every person is presumed to be innocent until the final and irrevocable decision of the court is pronounced.
