Assets estimated at approximately 2.8 million lei were seized by the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA), under the NAC, based on the prosecutors' delegations, last week, in a case of the abuse of power. These include a dwelling, a means of transport and 11 agriculture lands. Also during this period, 2 delegations of prosecutors were executed, and currently, 178 delegations are under examination of the CARA.

In addition to the asset recovery component, the NAC has also carried out its activity on other dimensions such as corruption prevention, analytics, expertise and anti-corruption education.

Thus:

• The Analytical Directorate completed 6 operational analyses and initiated 6 new ones; other 113 operational analyses and 3 strategic analyses reports are under procedure;

• The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate received 22 draft normative acts for the expertise, sent to the authors 9 expert reports and and 7 opinions, 40 draft normative acts are under examination;

• 1140 materials were registered in the Center's Chancellery;

• 41 calls were received at the National Anticorruption Line;

• 82 integrity records were issued;

• The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 6 activities to inform and raise awareness on the risks and consequences of the corruption involvement,10 sessions are planned for the current week;

• 6 persons were placed in the NAC Detention Center last week; other 8 accused are in the Penitentiary 13.
