An entrepreneur was detained in Cahul by the officers of the Territorial General Directorate Sounth of the NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors in a case of influence peddling. He allegedly took 1,000 euros to help another man obtain a category B driver's license more easily.

According to the investigation data, the man would have claimed that he has influence on the employees of the Transport Registration and Driver Qualification Office in the city of Hîncești and that he can organize the successful passing of the theoretical and practical tests, with the subsequent issuance of the category B driver's license. For his services he claimed and received 1000 euros.

Following the special investigative measures, the man was documented by the officers of the GTD South of the NAC and detained for 72 hours, being recognized as a suspect.

We remind that every person who has been charged shall be presumed to be innocent until proved guilty according to law.
