Present at the discussions, Minister Anatolie Topală reiterated the important aspects regarding the smooth conduct of the exam session, mentioning the need to ensure transparency, fairness and equal conditions for all candidates.

"All specialists trained in the organization and conduct of baccalaureate exams must be fully involved in this process. We need maximum accountability and fairness. Quality education is indispensable on our way to European integration, and the national baccalaureate exam is an important element in evaluating the quality of education. The high standards of fairness and transparency allow us not only to reward those who work, but also to increase the level of training of high school graduates and, implicitly, the quality of professionals who enter the labor market", the minister emphasized.

The meeting participants also discussed the safe transportation of exam materials; monitoring the correct conduct of the baccalaureate exam; training assistants; the delegation of the members of the republican evaluation commissions; setting up and monitoring the activity of district/municipal evaluation commissions within the gymnasium graduation exams; transporting candidates to the baccalaureate centers; the organization of the day of open doors in the baccalaureate centers, actions aimed at the good organization and conduct of the national graduation exams.

A special topic of the work sessions was the prevention of acts of corruption. Ion Pruteanu, head of the Anticorruption Education Directorate under the National Anticorruption Center, referred to the legal regime of gifts, conflicts of interest, undue influences and reporting methods in the case of attempted involvement in acts of corruption, etc. "All expenses for the organization and conduct of national exams are provided from the state budget. Any collection of money for this purpose is illegal", said Ion Pruteanu.

The 2023 national baccalaureate exam will take place between June 2-20. Over 19,000 candidates registered for the session, of which around 2,000 candidates are holdovers from previous sessions.
