The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC issued seizure orders, based on the delegation of the National Investigation Inspectorate and General Police Inspectorate, for 14 assets, worth about 12,7 million lei, last week. These include 2 dwellings, 2 non-residential premises, an agricultural land and a construction land, 6 means of transport, a residential construction and cash. Currently, the CARA has 130 delegations under examination in 96 criminal cases on 201 subjects. Last week, 4 million lei were transferred to treasury accounts of the CARA.

Also, the General Directorate on Operative Support carried out 9 judicial expertises, 5 of which are forensic and 3 IT, and 1 in construction, 75 expertises are in the process. Criminal investigation officers completed 13 criminal cases and proposed 6 criminal cases to be transmitted to trial. Currently, the criminal investigation body of the NAC is managing 364 files.

The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate received 25 draft normative acts for expertise, sent to the authors 21 expert reports and 5 opinions. Currently, we are working on 34 materials, received from the authorities.

The Analytical Directorate has carried out 2 operational analyses and initiated 9 new ones, other 65 studies are in the process. The representative of the Legal Service of the NAC participated in 15 court hearings, while the Professional Integrity Testing Directorate issued 87 criminal records.

The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 7 activities of information and raising awareness. Thirty students from the Faculty of Law of the Moldova State University and the International Free University of Moldova made a study visit to the NAC.

The National Anti-Corruption Line received 56 calls. One person was placed in the NAC Detention Center.
