CARA of the NAC issued seizure orders for assets of about 1,7 million lei last week

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC issued seizure orders, based on the delegation of the Customs Service, for 3 assets, worth about 1,7 million lei, last week. These include 2 dwellings and a means of transport. Currently, the CARA has 122 delegations under examination in 89 criminal cases on 193 subjects. Last week, 1 million lei was transferred to treasury accounts of the CARA.

Also, the General Directorate on Operative Support carried out 9 judicial expertises, 6 of which are forensic and 3 IT, 72 expertises are in the process. Criminal investigation proposed 6 criminal cases to be transmitted to trial. Currently, the criminal investigation body of the NAC is managing 362 files.

The Legislation and Anticorruption Expertise Directorate received 23 draft normative acts for expertise, sent to the authors 8 expert reports and 5 opinions. Currently, we are working on 35 materials, received from the authorities.

The Analytical Directorate has carried out 7 operational analyses, other 63 studies are in the process. The Professional Integrity Testing Directorate issued 151 criminal records.

The Anticorruption Education Directorate carried out 6 activities of information and raising awareness.

The National Anti-Corruption Line received 38 calls. One person, arrested in the NAC case, was placed in the penitentiary.
