BAMIN Steering Group Meeting 2023 took place, today, within the National Anticorruption Center

The Steering Group Meeting of the Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network, a project funded by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe(OSCE), took place on September 19, within the headquarters of the National Anticorruption Center, to discuss organizational issues of the Network aimed at setting the future strategic directions, assess achievements, as well as prioritize deliverables of the Group.

The meeting was opened by the director of the NAC, Iulian Rusu: ”It is a great honor to greet the representatives of the Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network, here, in Chișinău. We shall have a very productive week as the BANIM Annual General Meeting 2023 starts tomorrow and is to unite all of us in enhancing the efficiency to manage the proceeds of crime and finding solutions to improve the operational cross border asset management among our agencies. I wish all of us great working experience.”

BAMIN's senior adviser, Jill Thomas, thanked the director for hosting the Steering Group Meeting, as well as the Annual General Meeting 2023, that will take place this week in Moldova. She pointed out the effective work of the platform and its potential extension.

All the participants of the Committee meeting positively appreciated the initiatives proposed within the Steering Group Meeting.

BANIM Annual General Meeting 2023 gathers for the first time under the presidency of the Republic of Moldova. For the first time a country from outside the Balkans holds the Presidency of the Network.
