The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) under the NAC issued freezing orders on assets worth 3 million lei based on the delegations of the prosecutors and criminal investigation officers of the NAC. Also, 500 thousand lei were put on the treasury accounts of the Agency.

Currently, there are 108 delegations on 76 criminal cases regarding 76 individuals in the management of the CARA.

Last week, the NAC focused its activity on both preventing and combatting corruption. The criminal investigation officers transmitted a criminal case to the prosecutors with the proposal to be sent to court, other 380 cases are in the management of the subdivision. As to the anti-corruption expertise area, 40 projects were registered, received from the authorities, other 16 expert reports and 39 opinions were sent to the authors.

8 operational analyses were made, 2 judicial expertises, 180 criminal records were issued and 8 anti-corruption trainings were organized for the public and private agents.

In penitentiaries, 10 individuals are arrested within the NAC criminal cases. The NAC Chancellery registered 1513 materials. 31 telephone calls were received at the National Anticorruption Hotline.
