The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC issued a freezing order on an amount of over 700 thousand lei, based on the delegation of the NAC's criminal investigation officers, and took into administration a 2016 Lexus and another 700 thousand of lei in a smuggling case. Also, the seizures, applied by the CARA, in the amount of 4 million lei were confirmed and non-disposable monetary means, in cash, (in national currency and foreign currency) in the amount of 3 810 469 lei were deposited in the treasury accounts of the Agency.

To enforce the delegations, the CARA sent several requests to information providers both within the country and from jurisdictions abroad. At the same time, last week, responses were received to the Agency's previous calls to counterparts abroad.

At the moment, the CARA is managing 88 delegations on 60 criminal cases regarding 124 subjects with different procedural status.

Other activities of the NAC:

The experts from the General Directorate on Operative Support performed 7 judicial expertises, the Legislation Directorate received 57 draft normative acts and sent 17 expert reports and 12 opinions to the authors.

On the criminal investigation component, two criminal cases were sent to the prosecutors with a proposal to send them to court. 111 criminal records were issued, 4 operational analyzes were prepared and 4 anti-corruption trainings were carried out.

34 calls were registered on the National Anticorruption Hotline, in the NAC Chancellery - 1396 documents, there are 3 people in the Detention Center, and 4 people investigated in the NAC cases are in penitentiaries.
