Today, the Bălți Court of Appeals completely rejected the appeal of the lawyers, leaving in force the conclusion of the Bălți Central Court of November 16, 2023, which imposed a preventive measure - preventive arrest for a period of 30 days.

At the same time, the Balti Court of Appeal fully admitted the appeal declared by the anti-corruption prosecutors, applying to the judge of the Chisinau Court of Appeal, the preventive measure of house arrest for a period of 30 days.

We remind that, on November 16, 2023, the Bălți Central Court partially admitted the prosecutor's approach regarding the application of the preventive measure in the form of house arrest, ordering the application of the preventive measure - provisional release under judicial control for a period of 60 days.

Note: A person accused of committing a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a final court decision.
