NAC handed “Vicol” file to prosecutors

Criminal case started byNAC on acts of corruption committed by public officials of the State Tax Inspectorate was handed to prosecutors today.


Officers of NAC presented 24 volumes of 14 joined criminal cases. Conclusions of the criminal prosecution body are based on over 200 evidences. 52 CD-s with phone conversations and 12 packets of material evidence, including stick found in heads of the State Tax Inspectorate’ office, have been additionally presented to prosecutors.

The reportcontains 87 pages of description and analysis of evidence, and 10 citizens are part of the file:

•Deputy Head of the State Tax Inspectorate, 2 tax inspectors,general secretary of the Government and two civilians are suspects,

•Head of the State Tax Inspectorate, a businessman, a former employee of CCCEC and one of the NAC (the last was suspended from office at prosecutor’s request) are accused.
The criminal investigation continues on the basis of material evidence given on Vicol case.
