Euro 150 for a driving license

An employee ofthe Department of Examination and Record of Transportation from Anenii Noi is being investigated by NAC officers on suspicion of passive corruption.

He would have received Euro 150 from a citizen to influence the pass of the exam in order to receive category "B" driving license. The man was documented in the act while receiving money in his office.


Thus, a criminal case was started under art. 324 - passive corruption, and if found guilty, the suspect could face from 5 to 10 years imprisonment with a fine of 1000 to 3000 conventional units with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or to practice certain activities for a term of 2-5 years.


The man pleaded guilty and is investigated at large.
41 cases of passive corruption have been investigated by NAC Since the beginning year 2013.
