Experts on corruption risk assessment will train NAC officers

TwoLithuanian experts on risk assessment of corruption in public institutions will be at the NAC, starting with today May 27, at 9 am for 5 days.

Employees ofthe Special Investigation Service of the Republicof Lithuania, TAIEX experts in risk assessment, will train representatives of the General Department for preventing corruption of NAC on issues related to: identification procedure and corruption risk assessment methodologies for determining the likelihood of corruption, integrity plans, EU standards on corruption risk assessment, etc.

The purpose ofthe mission is to study EU standards in preventing corruption and promoting integrity policies by identifying and evaluating the factors of institutional corruption. Experts also provide practical training and capacity building for NAC employees on risk analysis and evaluation of corruption in public institutions through the exchange of best practices, experience and knowledge.

The event is organizedwith the support of TAIEX instrument of technical assistance and exchange of information of the European Commission, which supports partner countries in harmonizing national legislation with the EU.

We recall that one of the tasks of NAC is to ensure the development of corruption risk assessment within public authorities and institutions through training and consultation, monitoring and analysis of data on corruption risk assessment and coordinate the development and implementation of integrity plans.
