The NAC officers and Cahul municipal prosecutors detained, today, a man from Cahul in a case of influence peddling. He is suspected of having promised a candidate to help him obtain a driver's license more easily in exchange for a sum of money.

According to the whistleblower, the suspect allegedly claimed to have influence over the members of the Examination Commission of the Transport Registration and Driver Qualification Office (SÎTCCA) Cahul and that he could induce them to favour the candidate for the practical test to obtain the B category driver's license. For the services his, he would have claimed 400 euros.

Today, near the office of the Public Services Agency (PSA) in Cahul, the suspect was caught red-handed after receiving 400 euros, sent under the control of the NAC.

At the moment, the investigations on the case are ongoing under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the municipality of Cahul.
