An employee of the State Inspectorate for Technical Supervision from Sîngerei was detained by NAC General Territorial Department "North" officers on suspicion of passive corruption.

In fact, the inspector would have asked and received MDL 1 500 from the informer to encourage and support the successful pass of the examination and issuance of a driving lience category " H".
The official was caught red-handed after receiving the money this morning, as a result of special investigative measures.


He is already recognized as a suspect and detained for 72 hours.
A criminal prosecution was initiated on this case under art. 324 paragraph (2) letter c) of the Criminal Code.

If found guilty, the suspect risks imprisonment from 5 to 10 years with a fine of up to MDL 160,000 and deprivation of the right to hold certain public posts or practice certain activities for a term of 7 to 10 years.
