Adults and children from Criuleni have learned to fight corruption

Hundreds of young people and adults were informed about what corruption is, what are the penalties for giving and taking bribes, but also where they can call in case they face the action was organized by the National Anticorruption Center (NAC) in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Anticorruption officers organized several information sessions for teachers and medical staff, police personnel, representatives of local public administration and the business environment, but also for students. In the center of the city was installed a tent where the NAC representatives and anti-corruption volunteers answered the questions of the residents of Criuleni and shared informative materials.
One of the sessions of the campaign was held at the Youth Center in Criuleni and was addressed to over 30 young people, members of the student councils of the high schools and gyms of the Criuleni district. The students were trained on how to report corruption cases, but also on how they can get involved in combating favoritism, copying and corruption in education. At the same time, young people were distributed information leaflets "Corruption in the sense of all", in which, in an accessible language, information is presented about what corruption means, who deals with preventing and combating this phenomenon, but also how it affects life. to each member of the company.
According to Eduard Soltanici, director of the Criuleni Youth Center, an anti-corruption activity of this magnitude is organized for the first time in Criuleni. "Young people understand perfectly the important role they play in preventing corruption. They are aware that the future belongs to them and that each one of them is capable of promoting integrity in the school in which they learn or in the locality in which they live. "
According to Ion Pruteanu, Head of the National Anticorruption Center, the campaign "An anticorruption day in your city" aims to help reduce corruption. "We inform people about the risks and consequences of the corruption phenomenon, but also about the ways in which they can detect cases of corruption. corruption occurring in their localities ".
The campaign "An anti-corruption day in your city" takes place once a month, with anti-corruption officers moving in one district of the country in the central, north and south areas.
The project "Fighting corruption by strengthening integrity in the Republic of Moldova" is implemented by UNDP, in partnership with the National Anticorruption Center and the Office of the People's Advocate, with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. from the public and private sectors, as well as from civil society organizations, for the effective implementation of corruption prevention tools and standards.
