NAC’s CARA froze assets worth about 8 million lei

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the NAC has seized assets worth approximately 1.3 million lei, including a means of transport, a residential premises and a bank account. The assets were seized in cases of fraud, money laundering, the organization of illegal migration and computer fraud based on the delegations of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS) and the General Inspectorate of the Border Police.

At the same time, previously applied seizures worth approximately 1.3 million lei were confirmed by court decisions. The agency has issued 5 freezing orders on 10 real estate assets, 3 means of transport and 2 bank accounts in the amount of approximately 5 million lei.
