Over 530 civil servants trained by the NAC in anti-corruption activities carried out in Chisinau, Taraclia and Ceadir-Lunga
Over 530 civil servants participated this week in 8 training sessions organized by officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC), in Chisinau and in Taraclia and Ceadir-Lunga districts. The activities aimed at strengthening the culture of integrity and preventing corruption risks in public institutions.
As part of the “Integrity for a Safe Society” campaign, the NAC officers trained employees of the Taraclia, Ceadir-Lunga Police Inspectorate and the Botanica Police Inspectorate in Chisinau. The main objective was to train officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) on professional ethics and transparency, essential elements for good governance and an institutional climate of integrity.
On the health dimension, the NAC carried out activities as part of the “Integrity for Health” campaign, in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, AO CASMED and AO HOMECARE. Medical staff from health centres in Taraclia and Ceadir-Lunga discussed with anti-corruption officers and volunteers about preventing acts of corruption, and managers of medical institutions were trained on the application of institutional integrity measures and their role in promoting professional standards.
Sessions dedicated to preventing corruption risks also took place at Penitentiary no. 4 – Cricova, as well as at the ANP Training Centre, with a focus on strengthening internal integrity mechanisms.
Also, during this period, over 30 young people from the College of Administrative and Fiscal Studies of Moldova paid a visit to the NAC to familiarize themselves with the activities of preventing and combating corruption and to visit several subdivisions of the Centre.
We remind the purpose of the activities carried out by the NAC officers on the corruption prevention component are oriented towards cultivating and strengthening the climate of institutional integrity, by promoting anti-corruption and integrity policies.
