Prima ediție a „Cafenelei Anticorupție” din 2026, dedicată analizei riscurilor de corupție asociate criptomonedelor

The National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) held the first edition of this year’s “Anti-Corruption Café” event, with the theme “Cryptocurrencies and corruption risks in the digital age”. The activity brought together national and international experts, the NAC anti-corruption volunteers, students of the Centre of Excellence in Economics and Finance, as well as young people interested in current topics in the field of corruption prevention. The discussions focused on the impact of cryptocurrencies on financial systems, the risks associated with their use in corruption schemes, as well as mechanisms for preventing and combating illegal phenomena in the digital environment.

The NAC representatives stressed the importance of proactively addressing the risks generated by new technologies, highlighting that anti-corruption education and correct information are essential for preventing the abusive use of digital tools. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with experts in the field, ask questions and explore relevant case studies. The event also included an interactive segment called “Pro-Integrity Quiz”, designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge in a dynamic and engaging way.

The “Anti-Corruption Café” is an innovative dialogue platform that facilitates the exchange of ideas between experts and young people, contributing to the formation of a culture of integrity and responsibility in society. The first edition in 2026 opens the series of “Anti-Corruption Café” activities this year, which will address current topics in the field of corruption prevention and will actively involve the anti-corruption volunteers of the NAC, together with the public interested in promoting integrity.

The event was organized with the support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), as part of joint efforts to promote integrity and strengthen the resilience of society in the face of new challenges generated by emerging technologies.
