An 18 years old young man from Chisinau was detained by the NAC and the prosecutors, suspected of influence peddling, after being documented for more than a month. He had promised, on a social network, that he can help anyone who wants to obtain a driving license, claiming that he would have an influence on certain people within the Public Service Agency. On his "Per Mis" page, the suspect requested between 400 and 600 euros for a document.
According to the criminal investigation materials, the young man has been initiated discussions with those who wanted to obtain a driving license, without passing the exams, asked them to transfer the money to his card, after that he disappeared. In order to convince his clients to give him money, he recorded video spots in which he had assigned the role of a notary. In the videos sent to the victims, he presented his identity data, the amount received, the person who gave him the money and for what service were these money destined.
Thus, in January 2019, the suspect was contacted by a person on his social network page, who had asked him for help in the passing of practical and theoretical driving exams. Soon the young man set up a meeting and asked for 400 euros.
Based on the denouncement, the NAC has been initiated the prosecution and carried out a control delivery, the 400 euros being sent under the control of the Center. At the request of the suspect, the money have been deposited on a bank account. While extracting the money, the NAC officers have been detained him. Currently, the young man is placed in the NAC isolator, being detained for 72 hours.
The NAC appeals those who have suffered from the illegal actions of the man (have contacted "The Per Mis" page, communicated with the person, offered money, etc.) and urge them to come and denounce.
