A young man from Rezina tried to bribe a police officer and escape a fine for driving a car without documents
13.02.2020 1076 ViewsA young man from Rezina was denounced to the General Territorial Directorate South of the NAC by a police officer, who communicated about a tentative to bribe him with 1000 lei. The money would have been offered to determine him to give up the fine for driving the car without documents.
According to the whistleblower, the young man from Rezina had recently been stopped by the police in Cahul while he was driving the car with registration numbers of the Transnistrian region. Due to the fact it was identified he did not have driving license, the patrol agents drew up a protocol and detained the transport unit. On the February 12, the driver tried to solve the issue in the study of the platoon commander Cahul, Taraclia, Vulcanesti, offering him 1 000 lei but was denounced by the NAC.
A criminal prosecution was initiated in this case on the basis of art. 325 of the penal code - active corruption. If he is found guilty, he risks up to 6 years of imprisonment with a fine ranging from 2000 to 4000 conventional units. The suspect recognized his guilt and is investigated at free.
