Decision in the AIPA file: 30 days of preventive detention for the head of the Balti Territorial Office. The administrator was placed under house arrest

The court issued a preventive arrest warrant, for a period of 30 days, on behalf of the head of the Balti Territorial Section, detained in the AIPA file. Regarding the administrator, detained in the same file, the magistrates decided to place him under house arrest for 30 days. Both are suspected of committing acts of corruption when contracting agricultural subsidies.
Following the searches, carried out at the beginning of the week by the officers of the General Territorial Directorate North of the NAC and the anti-corruption prosecutors from the Northern Office of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, financial means, contracts, payment orders and tax invoices were seized, which prove the money transfers to legal entities , accomplices in the crime and who provided tools to disguise the origin of the money, resulting from the crime, as well as certificates that confirm the submission of subsidy files and mobile phones.
At this stage of examination of the AIPA file, there are 5 people, placed in preventive detention, 3 – at home and 9 people with suspect status. In total, there are 30 criminal cases under the management of the NAC and the prosecutors, which target acts of passive and active corruption, influence peddling and money laundering, committed in the field of agricultural subsidies.
We remind that, on January 24, 2023, the officers of the National Anticorruption Center carried out criminal prosecution actions in these cases, and several civil servants from the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), as well as representatives of some economic agents are being investigated for corruption offences.
