The NAC officers of the General Territorial Directorate South and the anti-corruption prosecutors of the Southern Office of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office are conducting searches at the headquarters of the Comrat Battalion of the Southern Patrol Directorate of the National Inspectorate of Public Security (INSP). The criminal investigation actions are taking place in a case in which an employee of the INSP is criminally investigated for claiming money from a driver.
According to the whistleblower, on June 5, the police officer allegedly extorted 4,000 lei from him in order not to draw up a report on the misdemeanor for violating the Road Traffic Regulations.
