Decision: Five police officers of the Northern Patrol Directorate, detained for passive corruption, arrested for 30 days

The five policemen of the Northern Patrol Directorate, detained by the NAC a few days ago, were placed in preventive detention for 30 days, following the decision of the investigating judge. They are accused of passive corruption, manifested by claiming illicit financial means from drivers for not documenting violations of the Road Traffic Regulations.

We remind that the NAC documented the period of December 2023 - present in which the employees of the Northern Patrol Directorate allegedly claimed and undue received money or goods in amounts ranging between 200 lei and 1000 euros from people who violated traffic regulations road.
