A resident of the capital, investigated for domestic violence, was detained, a short time ago, by the NAC officers and the Internal Protection and Anti-corruption Service of the MIA for active corruption. He would have promised 2000 lei to a policeman in exchange for the suspension of the trial initiated regarding him.
The case was reported by the police to the NAC and IPAS, on its side a criminal case was started according to art. 325 para. (1) Criminal Code – Active corruption.
Following the procedural actions carried out, in the morning of 13.02.2024, the NAC and IPAS officers detained the corruptor who is to be placed in the NAC Detention Center.
Currently, criminal prosecution actions are taking place, under the procedural leadership of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office.
